The Digital Printing Solution for Schools and Colleges |
|
Welcome to the EduPrint News~ Issue Four
With Schools out for summer, it gives us the opportunity to highlight some of the other areas where Eduprint is being used as an educational resource, a revenue stream and to develop integration within the community in a very positive way.
We have successfully established Eduprint within extended education through the Study Centre programme and we feature Pompey Study Centre below.
We are currently working with 7 other study centres linked to various sporting activities that are already helping to bring a real sense of achievement and pride to young individuals using skills to produce professional printing results that have a real WOW factor.
Likewise we have successfully piloted with second chance adult education resource, Learning Links, a Hampshire based Adult Education Charity that has utilised it's EduPrint Centre to create 'Spangle Print'. We are also in talks with theatres and disabled and handicapped resource centres throughout the United Kingdom that will eventually see Eduprint at the very heart of the community.
If you would like your establishment profiled in EduPrint News or if there is something you would particularly like to see featured in future issues please contact maria@eduprint.com

Playing for Success is a study support operation that works in close cooperation with sporting clubs to facilitate an educational environment with a difference. In this case the PSC works with Portsmouth Football Club, the team and the management to provide an inspirational atmosphere within which the students get to meet their heroes and interact with them in a positive and motivational sequence of learning activities. The students attend over a five week period for 10 x 2 hour sessions
Experienced teaching personnel at the Pompey Study Centre use Eduprint in a variety of ways to support the centre and its activities. The unique solution has been used to provide a wide range of quality teaching materials in support of the ‘Learning through football programme’.
Students themselves use the solution to create posters, montages and a whole range of very different products all with educational value. From banners to flags, to healthy eating trump cards the centre has produced some very different and out of the ordinary resources but always with an educational bias. Kick Start Health created, through printed products, an awareness campaign for healthy eating. Resource packs are made to provide creative lesson ideas incorporating local photographs and local historical documentation as well as student worksheets
Portsmouth schools have greatly benefited from these free educational resources to support much of the National Curriculum and current themes or events happening within the city. The most recently produced sets have supported: The Global Yacht Challenge, Portsmouth Remembers World War II, Kick Start Health and the Brunel 200 Educational Resource Packs.
PSC utilise their EduPrint Centre to produce a wide variety of print projects for Portsmouth Football Club as well as the City Council and the Guildhall. Having just moved into new premises, the team are looking now to producing some innovative EduCreations to adorn the new centre.
“We don’t see it as an expense we see it as a revenue stream.” Clare Martin ~ Pompey Study Centre Manager
