Focus on Portsmouth Grammar School Porstmouth Grammar School were proud to present their fantastic EduPrint Centre to Hewlett-Packard's Dave Lanning - Director EMEA Public Sector and Health Care Imaging and Printing Group with Paul Glover LFP Account Manager. They were immediately struck by the fact that in a relatively short period of time, EduPrint had become such an important support tool. In fact they were so impressed, they have initiated an HP Case Study of Portsmouth Grammar School with the primary focus on the use of the EduPrint Solution in the school's activities. Trevor Barker states "Thanks to EduPrint the cost of printing large high-quality digital images has fallen by 80% and our students really enjoy using it to develop their artistic talent. EduPrint has also provided a great opportunity to create income from external customers." PGS Students have recently produced the livery for the school mini-bus and much to the delight of Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, combined images with their own original poetry to exhibit around the school. "We now design and print photo-montages of school trips and concerts, personalised posters, calenders and booklets on-demand at about 20% of the cost charged by commercial organisations. We also market EduPrint as a service to external customers to generate income for the school," concludes Trevor Barker. Tim Howlett - IT Manager PGS and Trevor Barker - Network manager PGS, implemented their EduPrint Centre in 2007. They subsequently appointed Steven Morris as EduPrint Centre Manager due to the large interest and usage from all departments in the school. PGS have recently celebrated their 275 year anniversary and produced a series of floor standing display banners with exciting promotional material using their EduPrint Solution.
Good Idea! Trevor Barker - Network Manager PGS has developed this fantastic, very practical piece of equipment to store the wide variety of Eduprint Media. "We were finding that the rolls were getting flat sides, when stored on a hard surface, or tatty ends when stood up, which was affecting our finished product. This has proved to be a perfect solution. A wooden frame with pegs, and broom handles as spools for the media rolls."
