Three more Schools have signed up for EduPrint and we will have all but two of the fifty one sites up and running by the second week of October.

Kings' School Update

Hopefully most of you will have seen the Case Study Video of Kings' School, Winchester on the EduPrint website or on You Tube, if not please click here. We are sure that you will be as impressed as we are.

The work of Impact Publications is now shown on the Kings' School website and you can see the quality and results of their endeavours. The Mayor's Project was very ambitious but has proved a fantastic learning experience, where the Students, School and the wider Community have all benefited.

Each Project is analysed against fourteen Key Enterprise Skill Focus Areas to ensure that Students achieve the very best results. The cost saving and experience are added bonuses. Projects like this highlight the flexibility and benefits of EduPrint.

EduPrint Mobile Demonstration Suite

October sees the completion of our most installations and the start of a programme to get our mobile demonstration suite on to the road and visiting Schools and Colleges in the southern area. We plan to start in the area of the A3 Trunk Road, and we invite Schools and Colleges that are prepared to receive the demonstration to contact us on Tel No: 02392 599955.

Ideally we would like to invite a number of Schools to the presentation so that we can meet as many people as possible.

We have been invited to St Wilfrid's Catholic School in West Sussex for an Enterprise Day and we will be contacting other Schools in the Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath areas to ensure that we meet as many Schools as possible. If you would like to host the EduPrint Demonstration Bus during the week of 20th October 2008, contact maria@eduprint.com.

Similarly, we have been invited to Claremont Fan Court School, Esher, on Thursday 6th November and again we will be contacting Schools in the Surrey area to demonstrate the EduPrint solution during that week.

If you cannot wait for the Mobile Demonstration Suite to visit your area, contact us on Tel No: 02392 599955 to arrange a demonstration at one of our EduPrint Centres across the United Kingdom.

Focus on Barton Peveril College
Barton Peveril College

There is a real ‘wow factor’ attached to Barton Peveril College. The buildings have been carefully planned to achieve a working atmosphere for 16-19 year olds that is like a university. Over the last eight years, over £11 million has been invested in the facility.

Intranet Order Form

The new constructions provide the most spectacular specialist amenities to be found anywhere in the country for Sport, Music, Dance and Drama. In addition to this, the College has benefited from a new Lecture Theatre and Internet Café.

Barton Peveril is a College that is dedicated to improving the achievement of all their students and are fully engaged in the enthusiastic pursuit of academic excellence. A highly innovative College, that has been recognised as such by the DfES.
They strive to ensure that students are inspired and engage in the subjects they study. In 2002, the OfSTED report placed them in the top three sixth form colleges in England for teaching and learning that academic year. As a result of this inspection, the College was awarded DfES Beacon College Status. Their last inspection recognised Student Achievements and Standards and Support for Students as both being Outstanding.
Careful attention to each student’s progress is central to the College’s philosophy and we are committed to the concept that all students should exceed their potential on the courses they choose to study. They have a very impressive record for adding value to students that places them as one of the best Colleges in the country.
Barton Peveril are ambitious for all their students and take great care in preparing them, both intellectually and personally, to make a great success of their time at university. Over 750 students a year leave to pursue studies in Higher Education.

Results

  • The team at Barton Peveril are justifiably proud of their innovative EduPrint ordering system developed by Peter Horner - Senior IT Technician and Sebastian Groves - IT Technician (Systems), allowing orders to be placed remotely via the College intranet system.
Size, quantity, finish and special requirements can all be detailed on the ’e form’ and the students pay in advance at the college shop or departments are crossed charged prior to printing.
Sebastian Groves has noticed huge improvements in being able to manage print runs effectively and states “Each Intranet user has a personalised log in and their original art work is automatically stored in their own system file, making each graphic easy to find and reproduce, cutting out the myriad of memory sticks, cd’s etc passed to me. In addition to this, using the EduPrint system, I can plan and set the required artwork on the Large Format roll ensuring minimal wastage.”
  • Although a relatively new EduPrint account, Barton Peveril have not only been actively promoting the facility throughout the school, they have been producing exciting banners for local Thornden school’s open day and the Colleges Adult Education courses.
  • A number of the Colleges walls are already displaying creative montages and large format prints of a recent Trip to Venice.
