Kings' School, Winchester

Aerial view of Kings' SchoolKings Business and Enterprise School is a mixed 11–16, Business and Enterprise comprehensive school situated in a pleasant residential area on the southern outskirts of Winchester.
Head teacher, Susan Lawrence and Deputy Gwynfor Evans with their team, endeavour to create a range of opportunities at Kings' School that care for the individual and meet the needs of all pupils, whilst challenging them to exceed expectations.
“We are proud of our outstanding achievements and will endeavour to strive for further improvements".
Kings is about to celebrate their first year as an EduPrint Centre and have fully embraced the Eduprint Solution, utilising its facility as an actual business model. A company of 24 talented and energetic Kings' students from all year groups are aiming to build a sustainable, profitable business, through their recruitment of younger pupils. A full Management Team has been set up, with Managing, Sales, Finance and Marketing Directors selected from the student body. Using the EduPrint Solution The group is not only able to professionally reproduce the pupils’ achievements but actually generate profitable projects from the surrounding community.

D Stuart Johnson - Enterprise Coordinator states, “It’s my mission to embed enterprise within the curriculum.  EduPrint allows you to develop a project to a level that you couldn’t otherwise.”

“It is without doubt a remarkable educational tool, ideal for Business & Enterprise schools/colleges, together with schools with specialisms in Art, Photography etc. We are using it to stimulate enterprise education within all curriculum areas and across all year group programmes.”

“It creates a ‘can do attitude’ with students and teachers alike.”

Stuart says the EduPrint solution is cheaper than commercially printing up to 500 booklets and comparable for between 500-1000.
”But with a commercial printer you can’t print just 30 booklets, smaller projects would never have got past the planning stage.”

There is the additional benefit of time saving with no delay to the process waiting for proofs and making amendments
